On Friday the 4th of November 2011, Christopher Grech delivered (for the second time) a talk at Bir Mula Heritage about the origins and movements of the Israelite tribes in Europe and in Malta. Among other related topics, the speaker discussed the ancient tribes of Israel, Maltese surnames and the Maltese language.

30 October 2011: Halloween Event

On Sunday, the 30th of October 2011, Bir Mula Heritage organised the first ‘Murders & Mysteries’ walk of Bormla. The walk started at 8.00pm and ended at around 10.30pm. After the walk there was a visit to and a get together at Bir Mula Heritage.

On Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of October 2011, Bir Mula Heritage hosted two evenings of classic Italian films. The evenings were organised by the Cinema Heritage Group and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura.

On Saturday the 1st of October 2011, the Cinema Heritage Group organised an event at Bir Mula Heritage about the Rialto cinema in Cospicua. The presentation and talk formed part of Cospicua Fest 2011, which was organised by the Cospicua Local Council in the Saint Margerita Area.

On Friday the 19th of August 2011, Christopher Grech delivered a talk at Bir Mula Heritage about the origins and movements of the Israelite tribes in Europe and in Malta. Among other related topics the speaker discussed the ancient tribes of Israel, Maltese surnames and the Maltese language.

On Friday the 17th of June, Art Historian Terrance Duggan delivered a talk at Bir Mula Heritage about this unique heritage (plastering and painting) which still survives in Cospicua. The talk was of particular interest to all those involved in conservation and restortion.

On Thursday the 16th of June, Bir Mula Heritage organised the second ‘Ghost Tour’ of Bormla and Birgu (the first one took place on Monday the 16th of May 2011). The group (consisting of 16 people) met in front of Saint Lawrence Church (Vittoriosa) at 8.00pm and then toured the streets of Vittoriosa until they reached Bir Mula Heritage house at 11.00pm. Here the group had the opportunity to visit the house and to also hear some interesting stories related to the house itself.

From the 6th till the 8th of May a workshop (by Cristina Nuñez) was held at Bir Mula Heritage.
